Practicing Like all new skills, you will need to practice. We can watch your success by noting changes in the signals on the computer. Gradually, you'll learn to associate successful thoughts and actions with the desired change in your involuntary responses. Once learned, the brain usually continues to behave in a way that processes information in the new, more efficient and successful manner. How Many Sessions? Neurofeedback is a learning process and therefore results are seen gradually. Individual results vary, but typically 20-40 sessions are required for mild attention, learning, and behavior problems. In situations such as severe injury or lifelong illnesses, the training may need to be extended. Generally, we like to meet with you three times a week for 45 minute sessions. The more frequently a person trains, the more dramatic the results. |
